The Career Reset

I have mentioned in previous articles that I get a lot of messages and emails from people who read my work looking for advice on specific situations. Whenever I can, I try to offer some guidance—but sometimes I feel as though there really is nothing I can say to assist (or worse, that any advice I give could make matters worse for the individual asking).

One such question that I get more frequently than you might imagine is about immigrating to Canada. My article byline and bio for any presentations have always mentioned that I am based in Canada, and that’s a country that is a popular destination for people looking to move to advance their careers and/or their lives. It’s something I did just over 20 years ago when I brought my young family to Canada from the United Kingdom, so I can understand the sentiments.
