TITLE: Foresight: Journey Beyond Strategy

OVERVIEW:  In this short presentation, participants will learn how they can use foresight to develop visions of the future, to either plan for a desired future, or be prepared to act when undesired futures unveil. This exercise of strategic foresight and its interaction with traditional strategy development will build the capacity of organizational leaders and project managers to effectively do long-range planning. Participants will also learn how to develop foresight to properly identify and assess the dangers of alternative choices, effects of policy implications, and the key driving forces of prospective disruptive change.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO LEARN:  

Participants will learn to incorporate basic foresight into their leadership and management practices to better scan their business environments and improve decision-making.

 

SPEAKER BIO: 


Jose A. Lugo Santiago

Jose A. Lugo Santiago is an accomplished Senior Executive Leader, Veteran, Published Author, Entrepreneur, and Keynote Speaker.

With over 20 years of leadership experience, he had the privilege to manage and lead massive organizational change, championing process improvements, managing quality systems, and creating solutions to affect organizational culture, the efficiency of global operations, and human capital strategies in geographically dispersed organizations in the U.S and overseas.

He is also the author of several titles to include On the Leadership Journey: 30 Conversations about Leading Yourself and Others, and Lead Me, Really! Transforming Heart & Mind to Produce Authentic Leadership, and other peer-reviewed academic works. His doctoral areas of research are Culture, Strategic Leadership and Foresight, and Organizational Development & Design.
