Course Description

Successfully managing a project requires effective planning and adherence to the industry's best practices in every step of the process. By understanding the fundamentals of project management, you will be better prepared to initiate a project in your organization and position it for success. In this course, you will identify effective project management practices and their related processes.

Course Objective

You will examine the elements of sound project management and apply the generally recognized practices to successfully manage projects.

Target Student

This course is designed for experienced PMPs who want a PMBoK-based refresher or anyone who is considering a career path in project management and desiring a complete, PMBoK-based overview of project management and its generally accepted practices.

Instructor led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.

Michael Halbrook, PMP

Michael is a retired USAF Veteran with 22.5 years military experience and he brings over 17 years of project, program and portfolio management experience to the classroom. He has an energetic passion for teaching project management and takes time to ensure students understand the material before moving forward. Michael has hundreds of hours in the classroom teaching project management courses in the Air Force and has been a project manager for multiple projects around the globe. He has a Bachelors Degree from the University of Maryland.
