Alamo PMI Chapter History
The Alamo Project Management Institute (PMI) Chapter, also known as Alamo PMI, was established in 1995 as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. As a local chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI), Alamo PMI supports the professional development and growth of project management professionals in the region.
Founded in 1969 at the Georgia Institute of Technology, PMI is a global, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the project management profession. As part of this global network, Alamo PMI connects local professionals with resources, knowledge, and a community that enhances project management excellence.

With over 3,000+ members, Alamo PMI is one of the largest and most active PMI chapters in the Texas region. We are committed to creating a strong, connected, and thriving project management community. Our volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that our members and project managers across the San Antonio and surrounding areas are informed, engaged, and always welcomed at our events.
