Speaker's Bio:
Tanya Boyd is a dynamic project manager and creative strategist with 20+ years of experience
across disaster recovery, healthcare, IT, marketing, and government. As Director of Creative
Collaboration at Corbeau and Project Success Academy, she blends imagination, strategy, and
storytelling to spark bold programs, build partnerships, and design content that drives lasting
success.
A PMP® since 2014 and PMI-ACP® since 2020, Tanya also led the PMI Baton Rouge Chapter as
President, gaining a front-row seat to the evolving challenges of project leadership. In 2024, she
expanded into keynote speaking and educational video creation, producing a communication
video series for Project Success Academy and the From Risks to Rewards course for PURE
Management Alliance’s 60-PDU credential.
She has delivered high-energy talks to 30+ PMI chapters on topics like generative AI, leadership,
and workplace fears. She believes curiosity and communication unlock creative solutions, with
humor and storytelling as the secret sauce for unforgettable meetings. Off the clock, you’ll find
her kayaking Louisiana’s swamps, camera in hand, chasing the next wild idea.
As Project Managers, we are challenged to help teams understand the big picture, move
beyond bottlenecks, resolve conflict in a productive fashion and deliver quality
projects/products on time, under budget and within scope. While processes may be
predictable and repeatable, people are often not. Managing people in a world where the only
constant is change can prove to be quite a conundrum at times.
In this session, we'll take a closer look at the five stages of Tuckman's Model and how it relates
to team dynamics and development. We'll cover different techniques that can be used to help
identify potential bottlenecks and help your team shift gears if they find themselves stuck in the
early stages.
Learning Objectives
1. Grasp the essence and characteristic of the 5 stages of Tuckman’s Model
2. Identify the importance of navigating through each stage for effective growth and how
to support your team’s progression from one stage to the next
3. Learn practical strategies and leadership techniques to facilitate and enhance team
dynamics at each stage of Tuckman’s
